We've won the European World Travel Awards once again!
It is a great pride to see the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RAM) once again at the top of Europe for yet another victory in the World Travel Awards (WTA). It is the seventh time, the fifth in a row, that Madeira has won this prestigious award.
Despite the uncertain times of COVID19, this victory gives another "little push" in the promotion of RAM in order to help the regional and national economy.
In addition to this award, other Madeiran entities were also awarded at European level by the WTA:
Vila Baleira Hotels & Resorts (PXO) / Best Island Resort in Europe 2020
Belmond Reid's Palace (FNC) / Best Luxury Hotel in Europe 2020
Pestana Porto Santo All-Inclusive Beach & SPA Resort (PXO) / Best All-Inclusive Resort in Europe 2020
Portugal wins in 26 categories at the World travel Awards, having won for the fourth consecutive time the title of Best Destination in Europe.
In addition to those already mentioned, Portugal as a whole won 26 awards, having won for the fourth consecutive time the title of Best Destination in Europe.
Of the other Portuguese that were awarded, the Azores stand out as the Best Adventure Destination in Europe 2020, Porto as the Best City Break in Europe, the Algarve as the Best Beach Destination in Europe, as well as Lisbon as the Best Cruise Destination from Europe.
